Application of HPMC in Building Materials

In dry-mixed mortar, HPMC helps prevent performance inconsistencies arising from mixture formation, minimizes pollution of the surrounding environment, improves construction conditions, and enhances labor efficiency.  Additionally, adhesive applications are commonly employed in tile adhesives as well as internal and external wall putty.

The main application of HPMC in building materials:

One: Cement based plastering

(1) Improve the uniformity, make the plastering easier to trowel, improve the anti hanging property, enhance the fluidity and pumping property, and improve the working efficiency.

(2) It has high water retention, prolongs the placing time of the mortar, improves the working efficiency, and is conducive to the hydration and solidification of the mortar to produce high mechanical strength.

(3) Control the introduction of air, so as to eliminate the cracks on the coating surface and form an ideal smooth surface.

Two: Gypsum based plastering and gypsum products

(1) Improve the uniformity, make the plastering easier to trowel, improve the anti hanging property, enhance the fluidity and pumping property, and improve the working efficiency.

(2) It has high water retention, prolongs the placing time of the mortar, improves the working efficiency, and is conducive to the hydration and solidification of the mortar to produce high mechanical strength.

(3) Control the consistency of mortar to form an ideal surface coating.

Three: Tile adhesive

(1) It is easy to dry mix ingredients without agglomerates, improve application speed, improve construction performance, save working time and reduce working cost.

(2) By extending the opening time, the tiling efficiency is improved, and the excellent adhesion effect is provided.

Four: Masonry mortar

(1) Enhance the cohesiveness with the masonry surface, enhance the water retention, and improve the strength of mortar.

(2) Improve the lubricity and plasticity, improve the constructability;  use the mortar improved by hpmc, easier to construct, save the construction time and reduce the construction cost.

(3) The super high water retention hpmc is suitable for the high water absorption brick.

Five: Plate joint filler

(1) Excellent water retention, extended opening time and improved work efficiency.  High lubricant, easy to mix.

(2) Improve the anti shrinkage and anti cracking properties, and improve the surface quality of the coating.

(3) Improve the adhesion of the bonding surface and provide a smooth and smooth texture.

Six: Self leveling ground material

(1) Provide viscosity, which can be used as anti settling agent.

(2) Enhance the pumping performance of liquidity and improve the efficiency of floor laying.

(3) Control the water retention and shrinkage, and reduce the cracking and shrinkage of the ground.

Seven: Waterborne coatings

(1) Prevent solid precipitation and extend the container period of products.  High biological stability, excellent compatibility with other components.

(2) Improve the fluidity, provide good splash resistance, sag resistance and leveling, and ensure good surface finish.

Eight: Wallpaper powder

(1) Fast dissolving without agglomerates is conducive to mixing.

(2) Provide high bond strength.

Nine: Extruded cement sheet

(1) It has high cohesiveness and lubricity, and enhances the processability of extruded products.

(2) Improve the strength of green slab, promote the hydration curing effect, and improve the yield.
